Every experience begins as Iowa Wine Tours picks you up from your bed and breakfast, hotel or other remote location and embarks on beautiful journey around the Upper Mississippi Valley Wine Region. Fifty percent deposit due at reservation. Cash or Venmo only.
Brews & Food Tour
Join us for a breath-taking ride along the Great River Road in Dubuque and Jackson County, Iowa and a visit to two excellent breweries and Iowa's oldest barn, better known as Beer-in-the-Barn. We'll pick you up at your lodging in Dubuque (or in Galena, IL for an extra transportation fee) and then take you to Backpocket Brewery in Dubuque for a flight of their best brews along with some tasty cheese and on-site shopping. Beer in the Barn in St. Donatus, IA where you'll choose a pint from 16 different Iowa breweries on tap, along with some delicious pizza from Kalmes Restaurant in St. Donatus and on-site shopping. Our last stop will be River Ridge Brewing Company along the Mississippi River in Bellevue, IA for a flight of their best brews and on-site shopping. Price per person of $90 covers climate-controlled transportation from your lodging, flight fees, pizza, cheese and bottled water on-board the bus.

This fun-filled tour is available form 4-8pm on Thursday, 12-4pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Pick up and drop off times may vary depending on where you are staying. Private tours of at least 12 people or you pay the difference to make it 12.

Flights & Food Tour
​Enjoy a scenic ride along the Great River Road and through the beautiful countryside of Dubuque County to 3 excellent wineries for wine tasting, wood fire pizza at Park Winery and wine and cheese at Promiseland Winery, on-site shopping and bottled water on-board the Iowa Wine Tours bus. We`ll pick you up at your lodging in Dubuque in climate controlled transportation and along the your professional driver will narrate the history behind the Upper Mississippi Valley Wine Region, Great River Road and the Mississippi River. Wineries on the tour include Park Farm Winery, Promiseland Winery and Barrel Head Winery. Price per person of $90 covers transportation, tasting fees, food and bottled water on the bus. This tours is available from 11:00 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Pick up and drop off times may vary depending on where you are staying. Private tours of at least 12 people or you pay the difference to make it 12.

"Great Experience 70th Birthday"
My wife and I traveled to Dubuque to celebrate my 70th birthday. While researching activities prior to our visit, I came across information on this service and, after contacting the owner settled on one of the tours.
We couldn't have made a better choice.
The driver (and owner) picked us up at our hotel and, after picking up some more participants at various other hotels in Dubuque and Galena, we were off. As we traveled and got to know our fellow wine enthusiasts, Dennis kept up a running commentary on the wineries we were to visit as well as regaling us with the history of the region and the many landmarks along the way.
The price for the trip included wine tastings at each of the wineries, a pizza at the second stop, bottled water, on the bus, and (as an added bonus) Dennis took care of sorting and storing all of our purchases so that all we had to do was enjoy the wines and the scenery. In addition, he had a good working relationship with the wineries we visited and made sure that everything was working smoothly for our activities. At no time were we rushed and we were constantly urged to relax and enjoy ourselves.
Personally, the part most appreciated was the hotel pick-up. We didn't have to worry about a designated driver so everyone had a chance to partake freely of the many wines available without having to be concerned about driving under the influence. And while there are other organizations offering tours, Iowa Wine Tours, Inc. is the only tour that offers this hotel pick up service. Dennis has been conducting these tours for ten years and was the first to do so.
Bottom line is that this is one experience you shouldn't miss if you're in the Dubuque area and we will surely do the tour again when next we visit.

Bachelorette Party was Great!
​I booked this trip for my friends bachelorette party for something to do during the day! We had a blast! I would definitely recommend it! It's a great price, super convenient that they pick you up from your hotel, and we had great pizza!! We can't wait to do it again!
